On 3/9, Station Casinos asked the bankruptcy court for permission to pay three company Vice Presidents over $260,000 in bonuses in accordance with their employment contracts. The company claims the payments are necessary because not paying out these bonuses “will adversely affect [the company’s] relationship with the Subject Employees and cause the Subject Employees harm at a time when the dedication, confidence and cooperation of these employees is most critical.”
Shouldn’t the company try to maintain the dedication, confidence and cooperation of ALL of its employees, not just those who are highly paid and work under an executive contract?
Bonuses the company wants to pay out according to its 3/9 filing:
- Employee “A”: $180,000 (on top of base salary of at least $200,000 a year)
- Employee “B”: $33,700 (on top of base salary of at least $225,000 a year)
- Employee “C”: $50,000 (on base salary of at least $350,000 a year)
