Starting on April 18, thirteen Station Casinos workers will do a 7-day fast outside Palace Station to draw attention to their fight for dignity and respect. They will be joined by union casino workers and members of the Las Vegas clergy.

Why Station Casinos Workers Are Fasting with Faith
They believe they deserve the same respect like other casino workers. Workers from Station Casinos are fasting with the faith that they – and their signatures – will receive the same respect that other Las Vegas casino companies have shown toward their employees.
They believe Las Vegas union casino workers support them. The workers are fasting with the faith that members of the Culinary and Bartenders unions will help them achieve the Las Vegas Dream, too: a middle-class living standard for service workers in the city’s casino resorts, with hard-won benefits like free healthcare and a pension.
They believe the Las Vegas community supports them. The workers are fasting with the faith that clergy, labor and community allies throughout Las Vegas and Nevada will stand with them in their struggle for respect and dignity.
They believe that all those who support workers and worker rights will stand with them. The workers are fasting with the faith that all those who believe in working hard and playing by the rules will join them in sending a message to Station Casinos that it should respect the workers’ signatures and agree to a fair process to let the workers decide for themselves whether to unionize.
They believe they will prevail in their fight for respect and dignity. The workers at Station Casinos are fasting with the faith that they will win fairness and justice for themselves and their families soon.
